Let the nation tune to the mindset of Rahul Gandhi on his view point of Dalits in India
In a recent press meet Mr. Rahul Gandhi alleged that it was the media thrust, which created a Dalit frame on his visit to poor people. There is no surprise that Rahul does not believe in Caste system and only saw people as human beings. It is because he was never really exposed to the realities of rural India. Nevertheless, his allegation on the media that the frame of the Dalit is the media creation is far from the truth. Nobody can deny that Caste system and the fragmentation of society on the lines of Caste are the hard reality in India. Separate habitation for these families is a fact. Untouchability and atrocities on these communities are the reality in rural India. Caste system is not only an economic problem but also a social problem. In villages landlords do not tolerate economic empowerment of these communities.
