Are we very grown up children?

Image
Sometimes I feel that we are not grown enough and remained as children. If we closely observe our behavior, what we are doing today is nothing but the replay of childhood experiences and feelings. We vote the same party that our parents voted. We follow the same rituals that our parents followed. We choose the same profession or job that practiced by our parents. Our food habits, dressing style, etc. are mere reflections of childhood experiences. In the light of the above observations how can we be considered as grown-up children? What we learned and imitated by observing our parents and society is not our behavior. We are just enacting the role played by the others. Our behavior never reflects our true inner self. Our original self is masked and therefore it never comes out. I try to explain my observation with reference to the following examples. The person who grown-up in an atmosphere, where he was told that good job commands great respect, is always under the influence that...

Who is our number one enemy?

Image
When I was child I used to live in a village and observed isolated social in-habitation based on the caste system. Such discriminated social lifestyles caused me pain in my heart and forced me to think that the caste system is our number one enemy. When I was student I feel that the present education system is number one enemy because it is producing mass unemployment. It is not encouraging self employment and entrepreneurship. As I grew up I used to feel that low financial status is number one enemy , because we can not pursue our dreams, and sustain our passions without financial support. When I closely observe the present political system, I am frustrated and annoyed. The way in which the political system exploiting the resources and causing the damage to the society, cause disappointment and forced me to think that the present political system is number one enemy . When I am part of the bureaucracy I felt that the bureaucracy is number one enemy in the progress of society. ...

What is man’s greatest achievement?

Image
CNN posed this question to people in Spain, Berlin, Rome, New Delhi, Bangkok, Germany etc. People response is diverse and quite interesting. Computer is the greatest achievement as suggested by one person. Fire is greatest achievement according to one individual. Video game is greatest achievement for video gamers. Click here to see what people said? http://www.cnn.com/2009/TECH/space/07/19/man.greatest.achievement/index.html As far as I am concerned the invention of Internet is the greatest achievement . Internet dismantled the physical boundaries created by man. Society was fragmented in the name of caste, religion, region, gender, etc. It is the Internet which is erasing all such boundaries and bringing people together. I resigned from the top Government service recently. Now days I am spending lot of time writing articles to my blog, my web site and other article directories. I am able to share my feelings and experiences to people all over the world through the medium of Internet....

Why our legislators are not behaving responsively in the legislature?

Image
Why legislative assembly become entertainment house? We have seen live proceedings of our legislative assembly and what we found there is live entertainment.people glued to the television when there is critical comments, sarcastic anecdotes, shouting counter shouting, demonstrations in the well of podium etc. Legislator represents lakhs of people. He supposed to voice the aspirations of the people. Once he is in the Assembly he must for get his personal identity. While he is speaking he is speaking on behalf of his people. He was sent there by the people as his representative. But what is happening in the legislature? what our legislatures are doing? once they are elected they forget the people.Personal goals takes front seat and peoples interests pushed to back seat. When they are speaking they try to portray their great oratory skills. They try to exhibit their talents of leadership and strategic skills. Thus legislature becomes platform for exhibiting their talents and thus people...

Are the derogatory comments(state government tughlaq rule) of lok satta justified?

Image
This blog post is with reference to loksatta derogatory comments of “Tughlaq rule” on the state government on the issue of "Maha varun yagam". The issue for the discussion is whether maha varuna yagam works or not? Will the thoughts or sounds impact the physical world? Before jumping in to any conclusions it is better to look at certain facts; 1) Brilliant work of Japan's Masaru Emoto photos (water forming in to crystals) published in a book called The Messages of Water, demonstrated that our thoughts, words, and feelings affect physical world, right down to the molecular level. 2) We have documented evidence that the music influences our body . Music therapy is a buzz word in the medical world. 3) There is documented evidence that healing prayers miraculously cured diseases. In his book “Modern Miraculous Cures - A Documented Account of Miracles and Medicine In the 20th Century” Francois Leuret Documented many accounts miraculous cures . 4) Quantum DNA expe...

Are we fools living life of illusionary caste system?

Image
There is no trace of life on any planet in the universe other than our earth. There is no trace of caste system in any country other than India .Caste hierarchy was said to be conceived on the basis of functional classification of jobs. Manu dharma Sastra affirms that caste system based on “Gunas” but not based on birth . But now we made it as a hereditary system. Does that mean that one has to necessarily carry out the activity, which their parents pursued? If one has freedom of profession as enshrined in the constitution what is the logic or reasoning of making caste system as hereditary. Is it not illusion? Indian socio, political systems reveal that caste is a reality. It intervene every activity of our life . Function halls are in the name of caste, get togethers are in the name of caste, our names end with suffix indicating caste, marriages are intra-caste. Habitations in rural areas are caste based. Political polarization is in the name of caste. Is it not reality? Only a foolis...

Are we attained social economic freedom?

Image
The noise of mikes deafened our ears. Honking from auto rickshaws and two wheelers are reverberates . People chant slogans causing discomfort to the people in its surroundings. Yellow flags are fluttering and local leaders organizing the people into groups. After sometime everybody, everything vanished. There was absolute calm. After few hours these people assembled once again, collected their remuneration of Rs 100/- and left the place. This is a situation we experience very often now a day in the nearby vacant place, with one difference, change of colors of flags. That is election season. Every party organized road shows or rallies. For organizing such events man power is required. Without participation of people no road show or rally come into existence. People sitting in the drawing room glue to the T.V. watching live news reports. If any one assumes that people are participating voluntarily in the meetings of political parties, they are mistaken. Participants in the meetings were...

Corruption is off shoot of incompetent education system

Image
Rampant corruption in modern India is off shoot of incompetent and outdated education system. Our education system manufacturing employees/unemployed rather than employers .It is producing clerks or IAS officers but not entrepreneurs. The entire system is corrupted and most of the developmental activities are corruption driven.Aspirations of top positions in the administration are corruption motivated. We need to dismantle this education system .The goal of education system is to produce leaders or entrepreneurs but not employees. If the education system produces entrepreneurs many unemployed get employment .Only large scale employment can eradicate poverty from this nation. Why there is lot of craze for the Government service or political leadership is that the Government influences and directly interfere all walks of life thereby giving scope for nepotism and corruption. There is a saying that "The best government is one that is governed least" . Here in India the election pr...
