Thankless sister

 A few days back I have an experience of thanklessness, ingratitude and unkindness from my fourth biological sister.

Why I have used all the above negative words…

The past story

She’s my youngest biological sister….

The story I am about to tell happened 15 years back.

She was just a graduate then…

By the time her mother already died.

Her father  not enjoying good health nor financially well off…

Nobody was willing to take her responsibility…

Including her peddamma ( She is my adoptive mother)

At the time I was decided to help her to settle in life.

I have requested my father-in-law to use his good offices to find a suitable person for her…

He almost shrived for more than one year in this work…

My father-in-law and my wife used to discuss about this matter all along that one year…

I have seen a number of persons but I was not satisfied…

Here I must tell you why I was not satisfied….

She was the youngest daughter of my birth parents…

First three daughters were well settled by the time…

So my intention was that she should not feel inferior to them…

Anyway!

At last we have found one match and she got married….

I have met all the expenses for the marriage…

I have celebrated this marriage in a grand scale to the best of my ability…

Even after marriage…

Whenever she comes to me or whenever I go to her I used to give something to her…

What all I am trying to share is that I’m so loving and caring…

A few days back…

Now it is the time to tell why I have used the words like thanklessness, ingratitude and unkindness in the beginning of this article..

The responsibility of getting her marriage lies with her father,  sisters and brother.

And yet!

I get her married with my own expenses out of my love…

Knowing fully well, I have no responsibility what so ever.

That being the case!

Few days back I called her and told my problem…

And I asked her to do something…

Days passed and there is no response from her…

I asked my wife to call her once again and to know what happened to my request…

And to our utter surprise she told that she can’t help….

What hurt me so much…

Even she doesn’t have a minimum courtesy of telling the same thing to me..

This is another bitter experience after I quit the Job.

See!

How she was so inconsiderate, indifferent, thankless and unkind…

The bottom-line

When you’re financially well off family members come to you and praise you…

If you’re down no one cares you…

That is the moral of story…
